This blog began in June 2009, shortly after the birth of our first child, Mia. I started this blog initially as a way to keep family and close friends informed of the developments in our child's life. It eventually evolved into an avenue where we've shared some of ours ups & downs, highs & lows, and experiments in parenthood. I wanted to share some of the funny sides of being new parents--the realities and missteps, as well as what I'd call tales of survival--to help new parents or parents-to-be.
I found in my own experiences of becoming the parent I am today that I relied on the stories, experiences, and reassurances from others that have vastly widened my range of understanding and compassion. I am hopeful that one day all this knowledge absorption will bear itself out in wisdom.
Our philosophy is that parenthood is not a one-size-fits-all sort of business or endeavor. It's a journey, a process, a lifetime of evolving into who we (and our children) are truly meant to be. The journey takes you on a road worth exploring. So come explore with us!
